Tom serves as President of Carl’s Building Supply.

With over 23 years of experience in lumber and building materials, Tom brings with him a passion for intentional growth in the building industry through continuous innovation, recruiting, and employee development through coaching.

Tom began his career in the industry in 1998 with Plywood Supply Inc. There he started by sweeping the lumberyard after high school each day and eventually moved up to both sales and operations roles. After spending a couple years working for a national finance company, Tom went on to form his own consulting business advising start-ups looking to market and develop their ideas in the building industry. Tom has served in multiple board positions within the industry including the WBMA which he also worked for as an expert in regulatory compliance.  Since starting at Carl’s, Tom and his team have more than doubled revenue while maintaining what makes them inherently unique in the market.

In his spare time, Tom enjoys spending time with him wife and two kids in Edmonds, WA, a bedroom community just north of Seattle. For better or worse Tom is also a diehard Seattle sports fan.

Tom is also a licensed attorney and holds a BS in International Business Management from Western Washington University and a Juris Doctorate from Roger Williams University School of Law.
