As President of Ricci Lumber, Pat is responsible for overseeing every facet of the company including sales, operations, marketing, merchandising, customer relations, employee relations, safety, purchasing, price/margin management, and inventory management.

Throughout his tenure at Ricci Lumber, Moretti has worked in almost every position in the business. After working in the hardware department for two years, Moretti moved to Yard Associate and Assistant Yard Manager for a year before he got his CDL and became a truck driver for two years, then moved again to Inside Sales for another few years. When Ricci’s Yard Foreman retired, Moretti served as Interim Yard Manager for a year and then transitioned to Outside Sales before taking the position of Store Manager. In 1991, Moretti was promoted to General Manager where he remained for 31 years until his promotion to President in February 2023.

In addition to his many years of experience at Ricci Lumber, Pat has supported his skills and knowledge with a number of classes from different schools including arts, business, computer sciences, client relations, communications, and leadership.

When he’s not busy running Ricci Lumber, Pat enjoys drawing, painting, photography, baseball, softball, golf, bowling, and building relationships with his neighbors and community. With over 50 apple trees on his property, Pat is kept busy with the process of managing them and opening his home to employees, customers, and neighbors for them to enjoy free apple picking. He also is involved in various community and industry initiatives including Boy Scouts, local art and theater groups, the City of Portsmouth Board of Adjustment, local cleanup and school committee projects, Advisory Council for Vocational Education at the local high school, Advisory Group for Epicor, and the Advisory Group for EMCO.
