Matt is Kodiak’s Senior Vice President of Corporate Development & Real Estate.

As SVP of Corporate Development & Real Estate, Matt drives Kodiak’s acquisition process from strategy development to evaluation of potential acquisitions to transaction negotiations and integration planning as well as managing Kodiak’s growing real estate portfolio.S

Matt brings a unique set of skills to the team with 25 years of finance, mergers and acquisitions, and real estate experience. Matt started his career in finance at Nabisco and Owens-Illinois, later transitioning to corporate real estate and mergers and acquisitions while at Builder’s FirstSource. In 2007, Matt joined the building materials industry when he was hired by Kodiak’s co-founder and CEO, Steve Swinney, where he held various roles at ProBuild including the Director of Finance at Dixieline in Southern California as well as Corporate Development and Real Estate.

When he’s not working on negotiating deals and adding companies to the Kodiak family, Matt participates in various industry round tables that pertain to corporate development. Matt has a degree in Economics from Fordham University in New York City.
