Matt, serving as Kodiak’s Senior Vice President of Corporate Development & Real Estate, drives the company’s acquisition process from strategy development through evaluation of potential acquisitions, transaction negotiations, and integration planning. Additionally, he manages Kodiak’s expanding real estate portfolio, ensuring strategic growth and optimization.

With a career spanning over 25 years, Matt brings a unique blend of expertise in finance, mergers and acquisitions, and real estate. His career started in finance roles at Nabisco and Owens-Illinois before transitioning to corporate real estate and mergers and acquisitions at Builder’s FirstSource. In 2007, he ventured into the building materials industry when he was hired by Kodiak’s co-founder and CEO, Steve Swinney, where he held various roles at ProBuild including the Director of Finance at Dixieline in Southern California as well as Corporate Development and Real Estate.

When he’s not working on negotiating deals and adding companies to the Kodiak family, Matt participates in various industry round tables that pertain to corporate development. Matt has a degree in Economics from Fordham University in New York City.
