Jim Miller, President of Premier Building Supply (PBS), brings nearly 20 years of extensive experience in the lumber and building materials (LBM) industry to his role. His career at PBS began in April 2020 amidst the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic when he joined as the General Manager and played a crucial role in the startup management team. In May 2024, Jim was promoted to President, marking a significant milestone in his career.

Jim holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation Management from Oklahoma State University. His career in the LBM industry has been characterized by a commitment to operational excellence and efficiency. Prior to PBS, Jim held leadership roles at Boise Cascade, where he led various initiatives in the Tulsa and Kansas City markets, including the successful startup of the Boise Kansas City operation.

Before joining PBS, Jim served as Branch Manager for Service Partners, a leading insulation distributor, based in Tampa, FL. Since joining PBS, Jim has transitioned from overseeing LBM operations and delivery to assuming leadership roles in Manufacturing, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Accounting, and Purchasing.

Outside of work, Jim actively supports parental groups at his local high school and provides leadership mentoring to young adults starting their careers. Inspired by his father’s legacy of nearly 50 years in the industry, Jim specializes in operations, efficiency, lean methodologies, and business process excellence. His dedication to these principles continues to drive success and growth at PBS.
