HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo., August 15, 2023 — Kodiak Building Partners is pleased to announce the appointment of Stephen West as Zarsky Lumber Company’s new President. He will begin the role effective immediately with transition support from current Zarsky Co-Presidents Phillip Steffy and Steve Weaver before their retirement.

“We are very excited to have Stephen at Zarsky,” said Phillip Steffy, Co-President at Zarsky Lumber. “His strong leadership abilities and strategic planning will ensure that Zarsky continues to serve contractors and homeowners throughout Texas.”

West brings extensive management experience to the Texas-based lumber and building materials company. He has served at the district management level for the past 30 years and comes from his role as District Manager of Safelite AutoGlass, focused on setting regional goals including sales estimates and revenue projections, maintaining consistent marketing efforts across each store, managing the regional budget, and ensuring each store operates within set financial parameters.

After thorough succession planning and a comprehensive search process, the company is pleased to have found the best individual to assume leadership of our organization,” said Steve Weaver, Co-President of Zarsky Lumber. “Stephen has a track record of strong leadership both inside and outside of the lumber and building materials industry. This combined with his deep industry knowledge and tenure makes Stephen uniquely qualified to lead Zarsky successfully into the future.”

Previously, West served as the District Manager and Market Director at Lowes. He is skilled at building long-term strategic partnerships and is known for his leadership skills and ensuring operational efficiency. West is a graduate of the University of Alabama and Gadsden State Junior College.

“Stephen is the best choice from a deep pool of interested and highly qualified candidates,” said Pat Flood, Executive Vice President of Operations for Kodiak Building Partners. “He has been a successful director in his previous positions.
