Steve is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Kodiak Building Partners, overseeing the strategic direction and day-to-day operations of the organization. With a wealth of experience spanning over 25 years in acquisitions and private equity-backed ventures, Steve has been instrumental in shaping Kodiak’s growth trajectory from its inception.

Prior to founding Kodiak, Steve held the position of Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis at ProBuild Holdings. During his tenure, he spearheaded key initiatives, including the establishment of frameworks supporting mergers and acquisitions, financial analysis, investor relations, budgeting, and long-range planning. Before entering the building materials industry, Steve worked at First Data/Western Union as the Director of Finance.

In addition to his role as CEO, Steve actively contributes to Kodiak’s strategic direction as a member of its Board of Directors. He also serves as Chairman of the Kodiak Building Partners Foundation, embodying the company’s commitment to community engagement and philanthropy. Steve further extends his leadership beyond Kodiak, serving as Board Member of the Colorado Chamber of Commerce and engaging with industry organizations such as Brush Creek Partners and US Fence Solutions.

A Certified Public Accountant, Steve earned his undergraduate degree in Accounting at Abilene Christian University before pursuing his MBA in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin. His academic achievements coupled with his extensive industry experience underscore his commitment to excellence within Kodiak Building Partners and the broader business community.
