As President of Liberty Doors & Windows, Ted Willoughby draws on a wealth of experience in manufacturing and distribution within the building products industry. His career began in 1985 at Grow Group Inc., shortly after earning a BA in Business from California University, Bakersfield. Ted was instrumental in expanding the Desert Southwest Territory, overseeing high-profile projects such as the Bellagio, Paris, Venetian, MGM, and Excalibur.

Ted’s leadership journey continued through three major coatings and paint companies until 2000, when he transitioned into the fenestration industry. Over the next decade at Milgard Manufacturing, he revitalized the Mountain West Region, achieving record growth and profitability in just 15 months. During the Great Recession, Ted joined Ferche Hardwood as Vice President of Sales, managing the company’s nationwide operations in the hardwood specialty components sector.

In a subsequent role with a Minnesota-based manufacturer and distributor of aluminum products, Ted led the Western U.S. region, driving growth and positioning UltraLox as an industry leader. This success ultimately led to the company’s acquisition by AZEK in 2017. That same year, Ted organized a group to purchase Liberty Sash & Door, now Liberty Doors & Windows, and has since led its transformation into a market leader in Colorado.

Ted has been married to his high school sweetheart for almost 40 years and has lived in Castle Rock, CO, for over 20 years. His son, a former Sailor E5 in Top Secret Cyber Security on the USS Nimitz, now works as a government contractor with L3 Harris. Ted also dedicates his time as an active leader in Douglas County Mountain Search & Rescue, where he has volunteered for the past 10 years.
