Mike Flores brings 34 years of extensive experience in the lumber and building materials industry to his role as President of Zarsky Building Supply. A graduate of Texas State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Mike began his management career at Payless Cashways, where he served as Operations Manager. His first 10 years in the industry were spent in operations and sales, gaining valuable hands-on experience.

Mike’s career includes notable tenures in management positions at several leading companies, including Foxworth Galbraith Lumber Company (4 years), Builders First Source (18 years), and The Detering Company (2 years). Over the course of his career, Mike has worked across many major and smaller markets throughout Texas, managing both high-volume locations and smaller home centers. This has provided him with a comprehensive understanding of the diverse needs of the state’s lumber and building material sectors.

In addition to his operational expertise, Mike has a strong track record of building and maintaining both large and small teams. He consistently prioritizes fostering strong communication, leadership, and trust within the organizations he has served, ensuring a collaborative and effective working environment.

Outside of work, Mike enjoys hunting and fishing, but his greatest joy comes from spending time with his wife and four children.
